Paul Wrigley, Principal of Ray White Toronto comments on the real estate market and what he predicts over the Christmas/New Year holiday season.
The last 2 weeks have seen an increase in buyer activity in all Toronto surrounding suburbs, which is quite similar to this time last year 2009 had a great finish with November and December resulting in a high volume of sales which flowed into January and February 2010.
With approximately 20% of buyers coming from Sydney, the holiday season is becoming a popular time for buyers and sellers.
Solicitors used to close for a few weeks over Christmas, however most of them are open for business as usual, other than the public holidays
There are currently a shortage of houses for sale in Kilaben Bay, Rathmines, Buttaba, Balmoral (Lake Macquarie), Coal Point, Toronto, Blackalls Park and Wangi Wangi.
