Paul Wrigley from Ray White Toronto is proud of the effort that was made by Ray White agents helping the homeless and marginalised Australians recently.

We should all help the less fortunate and really appreciate what we each have Paul says.

Ray White auctioneers put their skills to good use in Melbourne on Saturday 18th June 2011 in a unique challenge to promote awareness of homeless and marginalised Australians.

Ray White auctioneers entered in to a sales challenge with vendors of The Big Issue to see how many magazines they could sell in twenty minutes, as part of the magazine’s 15th birthday.

Over the past 15 years, Big Issue vendors have sold over 6 million magazines, with $13.2 million going into the pockets of homeless, disadvantaged and marginalised Australians.

The four auctioneers, Mathew Marotta and Hamilton Orellan from Ray White Reservoir,  Andy Batt from Ray White Mitchum and Jason Voglis Рthe 2011 Ray White Young Professionals In Real Estate scholarship winner, were each sent to a different location in close proximity to the birthday celebrations at Federation Square, with a Big Issue vendor, to see how many magazines they could sell.

The winning team, vendor Jason and auctioneer Andy Batt, sold 38 copies of the magazine on the steps of Flinders Street Station. The results were announced on stage as part of the official birthday celebrations.
